Ising model on a hyperbolic plane with a boundary.
A hyperbolic plane can be modeled by a structure called the enhanced binary tree. We study the ferromagnetic Ising model on top of the enhanced binary tree using the renormalization-group analysis in combination with transfer-matrix calculations. We find a reasonable agreement with Monte Carlo calculations on the transition point, and the resulting critical exponents suggest the mean-field surf...
متن کاملTricritical Ising Model with a Boundary ∗
We study the integrable and supersymmetric massivê φ (1,3) deformation of the tricritical Ising model in the presence of a boundary. We use constraints from su-persymmetry in order to compute the exact boundary S-matrices, which turn out to depend explicitly on the topological charge of the supersymmetry algebra. We also solve the general boundary Yang-Baxter equation and show that in appropria...
متن کاملAn Ising model in a magnetic field with a boundary
We obtain the diagonal reflection matrices for a recently introduced family of dilute AL lattice models in which the A3 model can be viewed as an Ising model in a magnetic field. We calculate the surface free energy from the crossing-unitarity relation and thus directly obtain the critical magnetic surface exponent δs for L odd and surface specific heat exponent for L even in each of the variou...
متن کاملIsing spins on a hyperbolic lattice
The spatial dimension plays a large role in determining the behavior of magnetic and spin systems; one of the key components in determining a system’s critical universality class is its spatial dimension. The literature shows -expansions around dimensions four and two, which follow from perturbative RG expansions of the Landau-Ginzburg hamiltonian and the XY-model, respectively. However, we are...
متن کاملMIXED BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR A QUARTER-PLANE WITH A ROBIN CONDITION
We consider a mixed boundary value problem for a quarter-plane with a Robin condition on one edge. We have developed two procedures, one based on the advanced theory of dual integral equations and the other, in our opinion simpler technique, relying on conformal mapping. Both of the procedures are of interest, because the former may be easier to adapt to other boundary value problems.
